Again, our neighbor has claimed our cultures, Pendet from Bali. They used it for their own tourism advertising. After they have sent terrorists to Indonesia, now they are trying to steal Indonesia’s culture. they are very clever in making use of the opportunity that people in Indonesia are not so ignoring their own culture. Even they’re more proud of foreign and western culture. The situation where the original cultures may be rare and endangered in this country, because only a few people want to keep it. I remembered, when I was kid, we often played “ kuda lumping”, “Dakon”, “ gobak sodor”, etc. but now, children prefer to play Play Station, Time Zone and watching unnecessary TV program. Television media has also done these matters except TVRI that keep showing Indonesian cultures, and also a local TV show, although only a small audience.
This emerge us to introspect our self, behind our neighbor country. Here are cultures has claimed by the neighbor:
